Developing Your 'Communicable Disease Plans' & Operating In the Restart with WorkSafeBC
Date and Time
Wednesday Jul 14, 2021
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PDT
Description
Join the Burnaby Board of Trade and WorkSafeBC for a special session to provide businesses with direct information on the transition to Communicable Disease Plans as part of the BC Restart Plan.
Starting July 1, 2021, BC will enter Step 3 of the Restart Plan and businesses and employers should begin transitioning from their existing COVID-19 Safety Plans to new Communicable Disease Plans which will replace the more stringent measures required during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Communicable Disease Plans should provide for broad steps that will help reduce the risk of all communicable diseases (such as influenza, norovirus, or COVID-19) such as providing handwashing facilities, ensuring workplaces are kept clean, ensuring adequate ventilation, and providing for staff to not be at work when sick. Employers must also be prepared to add stepped-up measures if and when there is an elevated risk of communicable disease.
Join this session for the latest information on making this transition in your business, and how you can ensure you're operating appropriately in the coming months as we move past the COVID-19 pandemic.
