BBOT Experiences are new, small-group experiential networking events from the Burnaby Board of Trade focused on bringing professionals together behind-the-scenes and into the action of local businesses.

Start your evening networking with other members over some light appetizers and refreshments followed by a behind-the-scenes, interactive experience customized by your host.

This month's Experience will be behind the scenes at BBOT Member Mon Paris Patisserie where you'll 'master your sense of chocolate. 

Join chocolate sommelier, Geoseph Domenichiello, as you taste your way through the history, process, and neurogastronomy of fine chocolate. Learn all about the intricacies of the new bean to bar movement that is sweeping the globe.  We will taste our way through 15 samples of fine dark chocolate and cacao products to reinforce what we learn.  Gain practical tasting tools that will help you rediscover chocolate and heighten your satisfaction with it. Come with questions, and come hungry.  Menu will include drinks, dark chocolate, and cacao products.  All samples will be plant-based, gluten free, and nut free.

Chef Elena Krasnova was born in Russia and grew up during the "Perestroika" era when bare necessities were in great demand. It at this time that she developed her ability and desire to express herself through artistic means, creating something from nothing reflected in her culinary creations today.

Elena's pastry and confectionary creations can be seen in esteemed North American and European publications showcasing her unique and artistic style and garnering her the attention of top pastry chefs everywhere. Chef Elena opened Mon Paris Patisserie in Early 2017, her first standalone shop located just outside Vancouver. With more than 1000 square feet of space, complete with small café, Elena will have plenty of room to create and showcase her exquisite pastries, chocolates and desserts.
