Attend our next BBOT speaker series event, featuring an engaging discussion with the President of Simon Fraser University, one of the city's largest employers and most iconic institutions.
Hear from Andrew Petter on the role universities play in building cities, as we look at how SFU campuses have transformed their host cities across the lower mainland, and as we move towards the potential gondola transit project on Burnaby Mountain.

About our speaker:
Andrew Petter is President and Vice Chancellor of Simon Fraser University, and Professor in its School of Public Policy.
From 1991 to 2001, he served in the Province of British Columbia's Legislative Assembly and held numerous cabinet portfolios, including Advanced Education and Attorney General.
Since becoming President of SFU in 2010, he has overseen the development and implementation of a Strategic Vision that seeks to distinguish SFU as Canada's "engaged university defined by its dynamic integration of innovative education, cutting edge research, and far-reaching community engagement."
In 2018, he was appointed to the Order of Canada in recognition of his commitment and leadership in advancing university-community engagement and higher education throughout the country.
