2017- BYPN Conflict Resolution Workshop
Date and Time
Thursday Jun 1, 2017
5:30 PM - 8:00 PM PDT
Description
Description
65% of performance problems amongst professionals result from strained communication between colleagues or stakeholders, and many organizations often overlook investing in soft skill development to rectify this. Conflict resolution skills help reduce the occurrence of negative conflict both personally and professionally, leading to healthier and happier relationships.
This interactive workshop is designed for participants to explore, reflect and reposition interactions so that they are no longer obstacles by:
- Understanding the “soft skill elasticity” required for active listening
- Learning to communicate with clarity and ease
- Defining simple actions to address issues from miscommunication
- Improving the ability to respond to conflict by working with ‘conflict tendencies’
- Diffusing difficult conversations with peers or upper management
Workshop Facilitator:
Dr. Rob Hershorn, PhD, is a relational enhancement and workplace culture trainer and coach that guides individuals and organizations with tools designed to authentically enhance teambuilding and leadership. He outlines steps to positively transform interpersonal workplace dynamics through fine tuning communication as well as shifting conflict between staff, management, executives, and clients.
His work with private and public organizations includes Tailor-Made Four Step “Relational Repositioning”, Emotional Intelligence, Difficult Conversations, Conflict Management, Mediation, and Diversity, Inclusion and Unconscious Bias Workshops.
